The Orpington Group’s journey began in September 2009, born from a vision to transform education through strategic consulting. Initially established as Global Academic Travel and Exchange (GATE) Consultancy, we embarked on our mission with a foundational project in Lagos, Nigeria, at CTC International School, laying the groundwork for what would become our hallmark: impactful, transformative educational leadership.
Over the years, our evolution has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a deep commitment to driving sustainable change. We played a pivotal role in the establishment of Goodwin College in Ghana (now Goodwin University), navigating the complexities of accreditation and laying a strong foundation for its growth. Our expertise further extended to the corporate sector, where we successfully established the Cambridge-accredited Williams and Brew School for AngloGold Ashanti, demonstrating our ability to deliver high-caliber educational solutions in diverse contexts.
Our dedication to national educational development reached new heights with our involvement in the Ministry of Education’s World Bank-funded Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP). This experience, coupled with Dr. Kwabena Bempah Tandoh’s extensive tenure as Deputy Director-General at the Ghana Education Service, where he spearheaded major national reforms such as the Double Track School System and the Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Project (GALOP), has deeply informed our understanding of the educational landscape and our ability to drive systemic change.
In February 2025, we transitioned to The Orpington Group, marking a significant upscaling of our operations and a reaffirmation of our commitment to providing comprehensive consulting services in education investment, research, and advisory, including government relations. Our journey, from a small consultancy to a leading force in educational transformation, is a testament to our unwavering dedication to empowering institutions, governments, and individuals to achieve their fullest potential.
